Vic: Brawling needs to stop: commissioner

Victoria's police commissioner CHRISTINE NIXON says the brawling between the police
union and the force command needs to stop.

Police Association secretary PAUL MULLETT has accused Ms NIXON of undermining the union
.. by allowing former delegates of its executive to make accusations of bullying and malpractice
on the ABC's Four Corners program.

Ms NIXON has told Southern Cross Broadcasting she didn't have anything to do with their
appearance on the program.

She attributes much of the brawling to negotiations for a new enterprise bargaining
agreement with the union.

Ms NIXON says police chiefs will meet the union again this week to put an offer on the table.
